The Application of PQ Drilling Tools for Geological Core Drilling in Zhaishang Mining Area

Abstract:

The application effect of PQ drilling tools for geological core drilling in Zhaishang mining area was discussed.Comparing with single tube core barrels used in opening of a deep hole or construction of shallow department stratum,the PQ drilling tools show obvious advantages:they can improve the penetration rate greatly,assure core recovery percent and reduce the probability of troubles in drill holes at the same time,and have a good application effect in drilling.However,PQ drilling tools also have some disadvantage:they are too heavy,mud cake can easily be formed inside the drilling pipe,construction depth of drilling tools is not so ideal, and the abnormal wear with the matching hole reamer is very serious.We have summarized the application of PQ drilling tools and proposed some suggestions and solutions for the existing defects to popularize the construction technology in mining area.
