The Application of High Power IP Method for Searching Concealed Metallic Mine in Beishuiquan,Liaoning Province

Abstract:

Based on electrical prospecting theory,we introduce the application of high-power IP method in Beishuiquan area polymetallic deposit,Liaoning Province.IP in the power ladder scanning measurements showed that high values of apparent resistivity in the study area is located in the central area to the south and west.Faults,structural alteration zone more concentrated in the area that resistance or susceptibility changes are significant,mainly low resistance,silicified alteration zone varies according to geological conditions,high resistance or low resistance.Polarization abnormal is tuff as the center basically,distributed in a ring along surveyed area, drilling results verify the high rate of polarization anomalies in the southeast caused by ground pyrite,the northwest as the polarization anomalies caused by the carbonaceous material.We carry out sounding for low anomaly of silicified zone and sites of metallogenic geological conditions to guide the drilling of the deployment,prospecting in the area made a good exploration results.
