Experimental Study on Pressure Filtration Dewatering of Tailings Material

Abstract: The solid-liquid separation of bauxite washing tailings is a challenge during the development and application of Karst accumulation bauxite deposits.On the basis of experimental study on the application of pressure filtration dehydration technology in the treatment of bauxite fine tailings to carry out semi-industrial-industrial test research,the influence of filter chamber type,filtering cloth,material concentration and filter media on the filtration efficiency of mud was discussed.The study find out the significant impact on efficiency of pressure filtering for tailings mud with structure and thickness of filter chamber,the great influence of filtering production for permeability and filterability of filtering cloth,the positive correlation between material concentration and efficiency of pressure filtering,join in the aid during filtering is conducive to increase filtering efficiency and to reduce the moisture content of filtering cake,to provide scientific basis for improving the production technology of pressure filtering,providing a more economical compression filter supporting production technology and equipment,and the implementation of large scale,industrialized and economical pressure filtration.The method of improving the efficiency of filter press and reducing the cost of treatment has a good reference value for the solid-liquid separation of similar mine tailings and other difficult materials.
