The Investigation of Ore-formation Conditions and Exploration Orientation of the Carlin-type Gold Deposits in Youjiang Fold System, Guangxi Province

Abstract:

The Carlin-type gold deposits in sedimentary rock and shallow-metamorphic sedimentary rock are medium-low temperature hydrothermal type which is also one of the important type of gold deposit in Youjiang area of Guangxi Province.The occurrence horizon of Youjiang fold system of gold ore body is mainly carbonate rocks,terrigenous clastic rocks from the Devonian System and Triassic.The structure complicated and diversed and superimposed plays an important role in gold mineralization of the Carlin-type gold deposits.The study suggests that quite high Sb,As and Hg background value is presented in Youjiang area.Overlaping sections of the anomalous elements are not only the important prospecting target areas but also an important indicator of the Carlin-type gold deposits.Through the analysis of metallogenic conditions in Youjiang area the paper points out that the benefit places of occurrence horizon of the Carlin-type gold deposits are intersection parts constituted the platform margin fracture and calcium complex sandstone layer covered in the carbonate platform margin of solitary and soil layer.The beside of deep fracture and big lithofacies interface is the most forceful prospecting direction.At present,4 prospective metallogenic areas were framed out within the mining area.
