Many different types of gold deposits are abundant in Yunnan,the main gold deposit types are as below:the metaclastic rock-type,the sedimentary rock (Carlin-type or fine clastic rock-carbonate rock-siliceous),the alkali porphritic rock-type,the intrusive rock-hosted and endo-and exocontact belt-type;red clay-type and the marine volcamic rock-type.The chiefly ore-forming belts include Mt.Ailao belt,Dali-Lijang2Ninglang belt,and Southeast area of Yunnan,LuxiRuili in the west of Nujiang River.This paper summarizes above-mentioned gold deposit types and ore-forming areas.
On the basis of the structural characteristics,the East Kunlun Mountain can be divided into fault-fold zone in the north,upwarping zone in the middle and fault-fold zone in the south.And the north Bayankerlar fold zone is in south of the East Kunlun Mountain.According to the recent study,these zones are different in the environment of ore forming,the types of deposits,the factors controlling the ore forming and the distribution of deposits.And the porphyzite-gold deposit,the skarn-iron deposit,the gold in the multimetal ore,the layer-controlled gold deposit and companion gold ore in the stibium deposit are formed in different zones.Therefor,the East Kunlun Mountain is an important regional metallogenetic belt in gold and multimetal ore.
East Kunlun orogenic belt is one of the two metallogenetic provinces in the giant Kunlun metallogenetic belt.Based on the discussion of tectonic environment,sedimentary formation and magmatic activity,we have studied some gold metallogenetic prospective provinces,such as Qumianleike,Yaziquan,Kumubayan and Shixuejian in detail.Some exploratory directions in these areas have been proposed.
Haigou gold deposits is a large quartz vein gold deposits,ore veins(ore bodies) occur in subsidiary structures in rock mass consisting of Yanshanian monzonite and adamellite,Ore shoots locate in dilation zones of faults-Infrared spectro-scopic analysis that show the ratios of CO2/H2O of auriferous quartz vein are generally over 0.1.Based on these location structures,and infrared spectroscopic parameters of quartz in quartz vein,the prospective target area are suggested.
Based mainly on the macroscopic geological features,combined with ore-forming processes and mechanisms,the gold deposits in the western Sichuan may be divided into nine types.The superior grades of nine types of gold deposits can be determined from the studies of the distribution of gold deposit type in the dominant strata,grades and tonnage models of various types.It is suggested that the underground hydrothermal type gold deposits hosted in slightly metamorphic rock series and ophiolitic mélange are the most important ones in which super-large gold deposits would be found.
Pengiakuang gold deposit was located in the denudational faults between the conglomerate of Mesozoic Laiyang Formation and the metamorphic complex of Proterozoie Jingshan Group.The orebodies were controlled by the denudational faults.The orebodies become thicker when the faults become steeper (from 15°~20°to 45°~50°).Based on the study of the metallogenic geological enviroment in Shanxi and Dongjingkou region,we proposed some exploratory direction in these areas.
By the statistics of hundreds domestic and foreign gold deposit(domestic is 75,foreign is 46),it indicates that although the formation types are different but,they are very similar on the ore minerals composition,So that we can appreciate the distant view of deposicts.
