The gold deposits hosted by M iddle Proterozoic carbonate rocks at W estern Liaoning and Eastern Hebei are new type of strata-bound gold deposits，they have great resources potentialities.The new type of gold ore deposits is similar 1o Carlin-lype gold deposits，but it has also self—cons]stem features．This new type of gold deposits can be called the sedinents hosted gold deposits．During the evolutionory history of gold mineralization，Proterozoic Erais one of the nlost im portant periods.it is haracterrized by the sedimentary rock type of gold deposits and the metamorphosed elastic rock type of gold deposits.
