Research on Gold Recovery from Residue of Roasting-Cyaniding Process by Chloridizing Roast

The recovery of gold from residue of roasting-cyaniding process in Shandong Province by chloridizing roast is investigated.Raw material with CaCl2 was pelletized,and then dried.Dried pellets were roasted in different conditions.Composition change was analyzed.The experimental results demonstrate that the volatile ratio of gold reaches 85.93% when tailing pellets with 4% CaCl2 added roasted at 1050 ℃ for one hour,and the pellets are not fused at that temperature.It proves that gold recovery from residue of roasting-cyaniding process by chloridizing roast is workable.The experiments also shows that the decomposition temperature of CaCl2 is far below volatilization temperature,and too long heating up time or dwell time at middle temperature may cause decomposition ahead of schedule,thus influencing the volatilization of gold.
