The Application of WiFi and RFID Communication Technology in the Underground Monitor and Scheduling System

Abstract:

In view of the request of the wireless communication and personnel/equipment localization in the underground mine,taking Jiuyang mine as an example,we introduce the current advanced technique that is WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) technology in combination with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology,a new technique to solve the difficulties in wireless communication and personnel/equipment localization of underground mine.This technology can not only meet the demands of mobile office within the scope of mining area,but also realize the function of VOIP,which is very helpful for the safety supervision,communication,as well as scheduling. The scene test indicates that the performance of this system is stable and can satisfy safety production request of the mine.
