The Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Potential of Gold Deposit in Shanxi-Gansu-Sichuan “Gold Triangle”Region

Abstract:

The area including west of Shanxi,south of Gansu,northeast of Sichuan is famous as“gold triangle”of chi—
na.There is diverse gold styles,placer gold is possessed alluvial type and glacial stack type,rock gold is provided with micro-disseminate,gold-bearing quartz vein type,tectonic altered rock type,polymetallic altered rock type,selenium-gold and volcanic type.Based on partition of regional geological structural elements,tectonic activity,magma activity,metallogenic regularity and geological characteristics,combining with the distribution of geochemical anomaly,“gold triangle”can be divided into six gold metallogenic belts,three mining distinctions and seven metallogenic prospecting area.
