Abstract:

In the high mountain area under arid climate, the anomaly of stream sediment survey was cheeked by ravine system debris survey. It is quick, economical and precise for outlining the spatial distribution of minera lization.Ravine system debris survey is an informal networking geochemical exploration method. The collecting target is debris which is detained on the surface of bedrock and eluvium after the wind transportation of plasma. In the prospecting project“The mass screening of Caishigou-Hongshuigou area in Mangya, Qinghai”in Qinghai province, 1998,six points within composite anomaly were trapped by the ravine system debris survey, and through grade-Ⅱ checking, four belts of mineralization zone with gold were found. It shows that ravine system debris survey plays and directing role in the mineral resource evaluation work of Caishigou area.

Key words: Ravine system debris survey, Caishigou gold deposits, Geochemistry prospecting, Arkin metallogenic belt, Qinghai
