GOLD LEACHINGOF CONCENTRATES BY Ca(OH)2 SOLUTION MIXED WITH ELEMENTAL SULFUR UNDER OXYGEN PRESSURE

Abstract:

A process of leaching gold from a concent rate with Ca (OH)2 solution mixed with elemental sulfur under oxygen pressure was investigated. A series of experiments were devised and preformed to recognize the main effective factors. Further investigates show that the highest leached Au was achieved when the moore ratio of the elemental sulfur to the hydroxyl was ranged from 1.0 to 1.2 and the consumption of oxygen in the process from 0.38 to 0.55NL/gS0. Under these conditions the final pH was from 3.5 to 6. 0. 82 %～85 % Au was leached in one time leaching under optimized conditions, and 91% in two time leaching.
