Abstract:

A new geochemical method for evaluating gold anomaly in hydrothermal type gold deposit was presented. The principles of the method lies in that ,determing the par agenesis relationship between Au and the heavy minerals as pyrite , arsenopyrite , chalcopyrite , limonite etc to understand whether the gold exist s in concent ration state or not ; determing the content s of Au enclosed in separated quartz to identify roughly whether Au is enriched in original , hydrothermal liquid and to understand the geological condition of Au oreformining.Based on those principles of geochemical explorations , a new method of Au anomaly evaluations were carried out . And an application example was introduced which showed that using this method a gold deposit containing 200g/ t of Au was found in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and thirty Au anomalies from Northwest China have been evaluated , indicating this method is accurate , efficient and low cost .

Key words: Au deposit geochemical exploration, Au geochemical anomaly, hydrothermal type
