Geochemical Characteristics and Geological Significance of Stream Sediments with a Scale of 1/50 000 in Xianli Mountain Area ,Qinghai Province

Abstract: Xianli mountain area belongs to the Bayan Har metallogenic belt,which has an superior tectonic metallogenic environment and abundant source of ore-forming materials.The turf coverage is serious in the study area,and the geochemistry of stream sediments is an effective method to carry out mineral resources investigation.By the means of fractal distribution, factor analysis and R cluster analysis,we studied the distribution charac-teristics and combination characteristics of the elements in the 1/50 000 stream sediment survey.Combined with the minerals,some understandings had been summed up as follow:(1)comprehensive anomalies had been delineated in the area.The main abnormal elements were Sb and Au,and the associated elements were mainly As,Au,Ag,Hg and so on.(2)Combined with geochemical characteristics and minerals in the area,the main ore species in the area were identified as Sb and Au,which can play an important guiding role in further ore-prospecting work.(3)The mineralization in the study area is dominated by middle low temperature hydrothermal mineralization,which has experienced multiple stages of superposition and transformation.
