Effects of Mantle Branch Structure on the Distribution of Gold Deposits in Jiaodong Area

Abstract:

Jiaodong is one of the most important gold producing area of China,the output of gold in Jiaodong area is generally controlled by some specific faults.Throughout the number and size of gold deposits in Jiaodong area,we discovered the distribution of gold deposits in Jiaodong area is uneven,large and superlarge gold deposits basically focus on northwestern Jiaodong area,the scale of gold deposits in southeast of Jiaodong area is relatively small.Combined with the regional tectonic background of Jiaodong area,the outcrop of strata and the characteristics of tectonic distribution,we consider that the uneven distribution of gold deposits in Jiaodong area is controlled by mantle branch structure,due to the northwest of Jiaodong area located in the center of mantle plume in eastern of North China,it becomes the most advantageous gold metallogenic concentration area.
